In Episode 673 of It’s Bizzy, I’m talking about what it felt like to go home after being away for more than five years.
I returned to the place where I raised my children and spent more than two decades of my life, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I was nervous about the people I might see, the memories that might surface, and whether going back would bring up old versions of myself.
But what surprised me most was realizing just how much I had changed.
In this solo episode, I talk about family, grief, sobriety, faith, reinvention, and learning that we don’t have to react the way we once did. I share what it felt like to return to familiar places without falling back into old patterns, and why finding peace within yourself can change the way you experience everything around you.
We talk about people-pleasing, fear of judgment, learning to walk away from conflict, becoming more comfortable with who you are, and accepting that you may never be able to go back to the life you once had.
Maybe going home isn’t about returning to who you were.
