Orange Gingercycle

Recipe 

Ingredients

1 cup water
 1/2 cup sugar
 1/3 cup sliced peeled fresh ginger
12 Fresh mint leaves
Orange rind strips
2 cups Fresh squeezed orange juice
2 cups sparkling water 

Garnish
4 orange wedges
4 mint sprigs

How to Make It
1st Make:

Simple Syrup 

Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan bring to a boil.
Stir until sugar dissolves. 
Remove from heat; let cool for at least 15 minutes. 
Strain; and throw away the remains.

2nd

Muddle 3 mint leaves and rind strip in a cocktail shaker  
Add 3 tablespoons ginger syrup (depending on how sweet you like it) 
1/4-1/2 cup orange juice to shaker
Pour mixture into ice-filled glass.
Top with sparkling water
Stir and garnish with an orange wedge and a mint sprig

You can make this as sweet as you would like...you can play with the ingredients

4th of July Mocktail Recipe 2018

Delicious and refreshing mocktail recipe

Fresh Raspberries
Fresh Blueberries
Red Grenadine
Sparkling Water
Squeeze of fresh lemon
Ice

Fill the bottom of a glass with raspberries and grenadine (I only use a splash because I don't like it too sweet) 
Fill the glass with crushed ice
Pour the sparkling water over the ice and a squeeze of lemon
top off with blueberries

This isn't a sweet drink but it sure is pretty!!! LOL
